The Yakima Valley men's basketball team came out hot and never slowed down on Saturday, racing to a 99-70 win over Wenatchee at Sherar Gymnasium.

The Yaks shot a blistering 58.7% (37 of 63) from the field, staking themselves to an 11-point halftime lead before running away from the Knights in the second half.
Kal-El Gentles finished with a game-high 28 points, connecting on 10 of 13 shots and going 8 of 8 from the free throw line.
Koby McClure tallied 19 points, making all seven of his free throws, and
Shane Rivera contributed 14 points on 6 of 9 shooting.

The Yaks have now won three of their past four games to improve to 5-4 in the NWAC East (9-10 overall), tied for third place with Columbia Basin. YVC will visit co-league-leader Treasure Valley on Wednesday, followed by a home matchup against Walla Walla on Saturday.
