Megan Mendoza is in her third season as an assistant coach. Dr. Mendoza is a local pediatrician who came to the Yakima Valley in 2011 after completing her medical degree at University of Washington. She brings a wealth of knowledge and soccer experience to YVC.
Megan originally hails from Normandy Park, WA and grew up playing club for Washington Premier. She went on to play college soccer at University of California, San Diego from 2000-2003. During that span, the Tritons won two NCAA Division II National Championships and made the NCAA playoffs in the other two seasons. Coach Mendoza was captain of those teams her sophomore through senior year. She was named NSCAA D-II First Team All American.
